The company is expected to record operating revenue of more than CNY600 billion and invest up to CNY100 billion in research and development.
Jack Wei, CEO of GWM, said at the conference: "The only way Chinese auto brands can realistically outperform the competition is to expose their strengths over the next 3-5 years to achieve leadership in new energy and smart solutions. This is a great opportunity for Chinese auto brands that will not be repeated again."
In the future, GWM will emphasize comprehensive and thorough innovation and change and continue to build competitive advantages to take the lead in the new area and promote the process of GWM's transformation into a global technology-driven mobile company by leveraging the positioning of "global layout", "heavy investment in R&D", "profound change within the enterprise" and "user-centered operation".
Aiming to "conquer China and enter the global market", GWM not only realizes global R&D, production and sales, but also expands the globalization of brand, technology and talents. GWM aims to sell 4 million vehicles worldwide by 2025, with sales of new-energy vehicles expected to account for 80% of total sales and operating revenue exceeding CNY600 billion. Over the next 5 years, total R&D investment will be up to CNY100 billion, which is expected to ensure the company's technological dominance in the context of creating greener, smarter, and safer products for users around the world. Additionally, GWM will increase its global R&D talent pool. By 2023, the number of global R&D employees will exceed 30,000, including 10,000 new talents in software development.
Realizing "profound change within the enterprise", GWM will implement the concept of "user-centered" services in the literal sense to create an entirely new value system within which the enterprise and users will act together through innovative "user-centered activities" in all aspects and in a broad field. GWM will leverage the Industrial Internet to expand the users' mode of operation according to a C2B (consumer-to-business) model. The company will create a new business model including "products + software + services" to share fruitful results and provide mutual benefits through interaction with users.
