Legend sprinter Flying Sikh is No more

Former Indian legend sprinter Milkha Singh passed away on Friday night at 11:30 pm during post corona recovery. He was 91 years old. 5 days ago his wife Nirmal Kaur passed away due to post covid complications. Milkha Singh was undergoing treatment for 15 days at PGIMER, Chandigarh. He was admitted to the ICU on June 3 due to falling oxygen levels. His corona report came positive on 20 May.

Milkha Singh was admitted to the hospital on 3 June and his wife was found corona infected on 20 May. On May 24, both were admitted to a private hospital. On May 30, at the request of family members, he was discharged from there and returned home a few days back. Since then he was undergoing treatment at home. After a few days, his health deteriorated again and the oxygen level started falling. On June 3, he had to be admitted to the hospital again. At the same time, Nirmal Kaur was being treated at Fortis Hospital in Mohali.
