Lansdowne is a small, less heard of hill station in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand in north India. A convenient location for those in the north especially in and around Uttarakhand and Delhi to avail their well-earned weekend vacation for a laid back time.

Deriving its fancy name from the then Viceroy of India Lord Lansdowne, this hill station was developed as a garrison for the Garhwal Rifles of the Indian Army by the British in 1887. With nothing more than a few colonial remnants such as the buildings, the lush green of the forest cover around and the beautiful glimpse of the Himalayas this small town offers the best experience for a lazy laid back time out of the hustle and bustle of the city and its hectic life.
